The Project is the development of the Destination Medical Centre (DMC) Healthcare complex that will complement and expand the existing Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. It will accommodate the Client’s additional healthcare program to facilitate its position as a DMC, including related functional and supporting facilities and infrastructure.
Mid-term and long-term expansion are determined by the Mayo Clinic/SEHA JV agreement, and are required to establish SSMC as a (DMC) not only for the UAE and surrounding region but for a much larger catchment area, to be executed in a 2 stage approach as follows:
Stage 1Mid-term expansion within 5 years (2025)
Stage 2Long-term expansion first 10 years (2030)
